U.S. lawmakers are investigating how unserviceable F-35 components sent from Australia for repair were diverted to Hong Kong while en route to the United States. The shipment included a canopy with a transparent radar-absorbing coating, raising supply-chain and export-control concerns even though the parts were being moved for maintenance.
