U.S. Marine Corps says NMESIS anti-ship missile battery trained in Hawaii to sharpen maritime fires and command and control

The 3rd Littoral Combat Team's Medium-Range Missile Battery completed five days of NMESIS anti-ship training at Marine Corps Training Area Bellows, Hawaii, from September 28 to October 2. Marines practiced reconnaissance, position selection and occupation, local security, rapid displacement and fire-mission processing for distributed maritime fires. Battery and platoon operations centers coordinated movement, targeting information and simulated firing missions, testing command-and-control procedures across dispersed positions. Two instructional courses combined artillery tactics with patrolling, fire-team attacks and tactical combat casualty care, supporting the 3rd Marine Littoral Regiment's mission to secure maritime terrain and protect sea lanes.
