U.S. Navy Deploys Seahawk Unmanned Vessel for First Time with Theodore Roosevelt Carrier Strike Group
The U.S. Navy deployed the medium unmanned surface vessel Seahawk with the USS Theodore Roosevelt Carrier Strike Group, marking its first operational deployment alongside a carrier force. Seahawk is accompanying Carrier Strike Group 9 westward across the Pacific after earlier integration activities, bringing autonomous navigation and command-and-control functions into sustained fleet operations. The group includes Carrier Air Wing 11, cruiser USS Chosin and destroyers USS Paul Hamilton, USS Decatur and USS Carl M. Levin. Seahawk's participation tests how an unmanned surface platform operates within the carrier group's communications structure over extended distances.
