U.S. Navy Set To Install Auto GCAS For F/A-18E/Fs, EA-18s

The US Navy is set to install Automatic Ground Collision Avoidance System on its F/A-18E/F Super Hornets and EA-18G Growlers. Auto GCAS reduces controlled flight into terrain accidents. The system automatically recovers aircraft from imminent ground impact. Integration extends proven F-16 safety technology to naval aviation.
