U.S. Navy taps Oceaneering to upgrade SEAL submarine shelters

The U.S. Navy has selected Oceaneering to carry out upgrades to submarine shelters used by Naval Special Warfare units, improving the dry deck shelter systems that allow SEALs to deploy from submarines for clandestine maritime operations. The upgrade program addresses obsolescence issues in the existing shelter infrastructure and is intended to maintain and enhance the covert insertion capability. Dry deck shelters are a key enabler for special operations forces conducting maritime infiltration missions from host submarines.
