U.S. puts Ukraine-tested interceptor drones through border tests

U.S. Northern Command and Joint Interagency Task Force 401 tested Perennial Autonomy's Bumblebee semi-autonomous interceptor drone during the Falcon Peak 26.2 counter-UAS experiment at Yuma Proving Ground in Arizona. The event applied operational lessons from Ukraine and the southern border to engagements against small unmanned aircraft associated with surveillance, smuggling and other cross-border activity. Bumblebee's participation demonstrated one candidate approach to low-cost aerial interception, but the command has not yet identified which systems from the exercise will be deployed operationally or provided a fielding schedule.
