UK and Netherlands Sign £2.4 Billion Deal for Next-Gen Amphibious Ships
The UK and Netherlands signed a £2.4 billion joint program to co-develop next-generation amphibious ships to replace Albion-class and Rotterdam-class vessels. The bilateral agreement enables shared design, procurement, and industrial cooperation across British and Dutch shipyards. The ships will support NATO amphibious operations in the North Atlantic and Baltic. Initial deliveries are targeted for the early 2030s.
