World's first Acoustic Picket Line at REPMUS26

British maritime sensing company Oshen is demonstrating what it calls the world's first acoustic picket line operated by uncrewed surface vessels during the REPMUS26 maritime robotics exercise off Portugal. The concept distributes acoustic sensors across multiple small autonomous craft so they can maintain a persistent barrier, share detections, and extend surveillance beyond the coverage of a single platform. The trial is intended to show how inexpensive, networked vessels could support anti-submarine awareness and protect maritime approaches while reducing demands on crewed warships and fixed sensor infrastructure.
