UK MoD: Ukraine's Sargan-3000 USV Fought First Known Drone Boat Duel
A Ukrainian Navy Sargan 3000 uncrewed surface vessel destroyed a Russian attack drone boat in the Black Sea on September 12, according to an October 6 British intelligence assessment. Ukrainian military intelligence detected the target and directed the boat toward it, with released footage showing machine-gun fire followed by the Russian vessel sinking. The Ukrainian craft carried a Kongsberg Protector remotely operated weapon station with a 12.7 mm gun and exchanged targeting information through the Delta network. Britain assessed the encounter as almost certainly the first direct uncrewed surface-vessel engagement between Russia and Ukraine.
