Ukraine’s Flamingo cruise missiles hit Russian chemical plant

Ukraine’s Fire Point said its FP-5 Flamingo cruise missiles struck the Volgogradpromproekt chemical plant in Volgograd during the night of September 10–11, causing direct hits and a fire. The U.S.-sanctioned facility produces ferrocene-based combustion catalysts and other chemicals used in aviation, shipbuilding and defense, with some products associated with solid-rocket propellants. Satellite analysis cited by open-source researchers indicated damage to a roughly 20-by-15-meter building, while the regional governor confirmed debris at an industrial site. The extent of damage and the missile type have not been independently verified.
