Ukraine shows off its new Koral air defense systems

Ukraine publicly displayed the Koral mobile air-defense system at the MSPO exhibition in Poland, revealing a launcher mounted on a Tatra truck chassis. Ukrainian industry says the system is intended to engage aircraft and ballistic targets, broadening the country’s domestically developed air-defense portfolio. The presentation highlighted mobility and a self-contained road-mobile configuration but provided few verified details about interceptor performance, sensors or production status. Koral should therefore be viewed as an unveiled development rather than an operationally proven fielded capability until testing, deliveries and military acceptance are confirmed.
