Ukraine Weapons Codification: 9 in 10 New Models Are Now Ukrainian-Made

Ukraine’s Ministry of Defense reported that domestically produced systems accounted for 1,530 of 1,678 newly codified and authorized weapon and equipment models in 2026 as of September 25. That represents approximately 91 percent, compared with 60 Ukrainian models among 110 approvals in 2022, reflecting a larger domestic share of the approval pipeline. Separately, 650 unmanned-aircraft models had been authorized by September 22 for reconnaissance, strike and other battlefield missions. These figures count distinct equipment models approved for military use, providing a measure of product authorization rather than the number of systems purchased, manufactured or delivered to units.
