US Army Sets M-SHORAD Increment 4 Industry Day for Counter-Drone Pallet
The U.S. Army scheduled an industry day for October 27–28, 2026, in Huntsville, Alabama, to shape Increment 4 of its Maneuver Short Range Air Defense program. The planned capability is a vehicle-agnostic, palletized system for light and airborne formations, focused on countering Group 1–3 unmanned aircraft as well as helicopters and fixed-wing threats. The Army is seeking input from potential system integrators on architecture, development and production approaches before a formal acquisition decision. Initial capability is targeted for late fiscal 2029, but the effort remains in industry-engagement and requirements development rather than under a production contract.
