US Navy Extends SEWIP Block 2 Production to 2029 in $209M Lockheed Deal
The U.S. Navy awarded Lockheed Martin a $209 million modification to continue full-rate production of SEWIP Block 2 AN/SLQ-32(V)6 electronic warfare systems through September 2029. The equipment upgrades shipboard receivers and antennas used to detect and characterize electromagnetic threats, supporting installations on new ships and backfits to existing vessels. Work will be performed primarily in Liverpool, New York, with the remainder in Lansdale, Pennsylvania, and the full modification amount was obligated at award. Exercising the associated options would raise the contract's cumulative potential value to approximately $1.71 billion, although system quantities remain undisclosed.
