USMC Orders 32 ACV Recovery Vehicles as Final Variant Enters Production
The U.S. Marine Corps is moving the Amphibious Combat Vehicle Recovery variant into production with an objective of 32 vehicles. The ACV-R adds recovery and field-maintenance equipment, including a turret-mounted crane, so Marine units can support disabled vehicles during amphibious and land operations without relying on unrelated platforms. Representative vehicles are undergoing testing before operational introduction, with initial operational capability planned for fiscal 2028. The recovery model is the fourth and final planned ACV family variant, complementing personnel, command, and 30 mm gun configurations in deployment.
