USS Abraham Lincoln air wing delivers 1,499 precision weapons during 38-day Operation Epic Fury campaign

USS Abraham Lincoln and Carrier Air Wing 9 completed a deployment in which the air wing flew 14,037 sorties and accumulated 31,460 flight hours. During the 38-day Operation Epic Fury, the air wing expended 1,499 precision weapons and more than 1.37 million pounds of ordnance against U.S. Central Command priority targets. Navy reporting said missions struck offensive missile sites, weapons-production facilities, military infrastructure and naval combatants while the carrier strike group also conducted defensive operations.
