USS Mount Whitney became the first US Navy warship to operate the Link 22 tactical datalink underway, during BALTOPS 2026. Link 22 replaces Link 11 with more secure, jam-resistant HF/UHF beyond-line-of-sight communications. The milestone advances NATO combat interoperability across surface, sub and air platforms.
