Uzbekistan gets its first C-390 military transport plane

Embraer presented Uzbekistan's first C-390 Millennium on September 10, making the country the aircraft's first operator in Central Asia. The jet is the first of two ordered on December 27, 2024, under a contract whose customer remained undisclosed until February 2026; the presentation notice did not confirm a formal handover date. The C-390 can carry up to 26 tonnes at a cruise speed of about 470 knots and supports transport, airdrop, medical evacuation, firefighting, search-and-rescue and humanitarian missions from short or unpaved runways. It adds a medium airlift tier between Uzbekistan's C295Ms and older Il-76TD heavy transports.
