Video: Sentinel ICBM Model On Display At AFA

Northrop Grumman displayed a model of the LGM-35A Sentinel intercontinental ballistic missile at the Air, Space and Cyber conference. Sentinel is intended to replace the ageing Minuteman III force and sustain the land-based leg of the US nuclear triad through modern command, launch, and support infrastructure. The program is working toward initial operational capability in the early 2030s after major cost and schedule pressure. A conference model communicates the evolving configuration but does not demonstrate flight performance, and substantial testing, construction, certification, and deployment work remains.
