X-Bow To Supply Rocket Booster For Leidos Low-Cost Cruise Missile
X-Bow Systems will supply solid rocket boosters for Leidos's Low-Cost Containerized Munition, with full-rate motor production expected to begin in 2027. The booster ejects the cruise missile from its launch container and accelerates it to flying speed, with design, qualification and static-fire testing preceding production. Leidos's initial Army order is expected to cover 3,000 munitions, following three-year Defense Department framework agreements with several suppliers in May. The announcement confirms the booster supplier for Leidos's weapon but describes the initial munition quantity as expected, and does not disclose the value of X-Bow's subcontract or a completed qualification milestone.
