Zelenskyy says Trump approved Patriot production licenses for Ukraine as Kyiv confronts interceptor shortages and escalating Russian strikes

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said U.S. President Donald Trump approved licenses that would allow Patriot air-defense systems and interceptors to be produced in Ukraine. Zelenskyy described the decision as final after talks in New York, but detailed industrial agreements with Lockheed Martin and RTX still have to be negotiated, and the companies or U.S. government had not publicly confirmed a production contract. Kyiv says its available interceptor supply meets only a fraction of current demand, while establishing licensed manufacturing would take more than two years.
