Terms of service

Last updated · August 2026

1 · Acceptance

By accessing or using The Defense Feed (“the Service”), you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't use the Service.

2 · What the Service is

The Defense Feed publishes a daily curated selection of defense-related news items with short AI-generated summaries (3–4 sentences each). Every summary links back to the original publisher and cites them by name — the Service is an aggregator, not a source of primary reporting.

3 · Accounts

Signup requires a valid email address. You're responsible for keeping your password confidential and for activity on your account. Notify us at contact@thedefensefeed.com immediately if you suspect unauthorized access.

You may delete your account at any time from /account. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

4 · Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Scrape, crawl, or otherwise systematically extract content from the Service beyond ordinary reading. Rate limits apply.
  • Reverse-engineer or misuse the AI summaries to train competing models.
  • Attempt to bypass tier gating or spoof another user.
  • Redistribute content in a way that misrepresents the original publisher or removes attribution.
  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose.

5 · Intellectual property

Article summaries — the 3-4 sentence summaries and briefings we publish are our editorial output, generated by our pipeline. You may quote them with attribution (link to the source article and to the summary on this Service). Bulk reuse requires our prior written consent.

Source articles — the original news items summarized here belong to their respective publishers. We link to each source and encourage you to read it in full at its original location.

Brand — “The Defense Feed”, the logo, and the design language are ours.

6 · Pricing (Free tier)

The current free tier is provided at no cost and grants access to the last 24 hours of curated defense news, the daily briefing, and (opt-in) a weekly email digest. Premium and Team tiers are announced separately and subject to their own terms.

7 · Editorial responsibility

We curate and summarize third-party news in good faith but make no warranty as to completeness, accuracy, or timeliness. AI-generated summaries can contain errors. Nothing published here is investment, legal, or operational advice. Always verify with the original publisher before acting on information.

We reserve the right to remove or archive any item at our editorial discretion.

8 · Availability

We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Scheduled maintenance and third-party provider outages (Supabase, Vercel, Resend) may cause brief downtime.

9 · Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from your use of the Service. Our total aggregate liability for the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim (currently zero, since the Service is free).

10 · Governing law

These terms are governed by French law. Any dispute that cannot be resolved amicably will be brought before the courts of Paris, France, subject to any mandatory consumer protection rules that apply where you live.

11 · Changes

We may update these terms. Material changes will be posted on this page with a new date. Continued use of the Service after the change means you accept the updated terms.

12 · Contact
