US Navy Orders $15.1M in Aegis Radar Spare Parts From Raytheon Toward 75 Ready Ships
The US Navy placed a $15.1 million Raytheon delivery order for spare components supporting MK 99 fire-control equipment, AN/SPY-1 radar transmitter groups and AN/SPY-3 multifunction radars. The firm-fixed-price purchase covers 419 requirements across 46 parts and raises fleet and forward-deployed stocking levels for equipment installed on naval surface combatants. Naval Supply Systems Command Weapon Systems Support in Philadelphia awarded the sole-source order using fiscal 2026 working capital funds, with work scheduled through December 2034. The purchase supports the surface fleet's objective of maintaining 75 mission-capable ships, rather than representing radar installation on 75 additional vessels.
