DVD 2026: British Army's Ajax back in the hands of users as part of a gradual return
British Army Ajax vehicles are gradually returning to user units after acceptance activity was paused over noise and vibration concerns affecting crews. General Dynamics Land Systems UK says work conducted over the past ten months has addressed identified problems and supports renewed training and evaluation. Ajax is a 589-vehicle reconnaissance family built around advanced sensors, networking, protection, and a 40-millimetre cannon. The phased return does not mean the entire fleet is fully operational; confidence will depend on monitored use, safety evidence, reliability, and delivery of remaining variants.
