Anduril wins deal to help design future aircraft
The U.S. Air Force awarded Anduril a contract worth up to $85 million to develop computer-based design tools for future aircraft. The work is intended to let engineers explore configurations, evaluate performance and test design choices in digital environments before committing to expensive physical prototypes. By emphasizing model-based development and faster iteration, the award seeks to shorten acquisition timelines and reduce technical risk across next-generation air systems, while further expanding Anduril’s role from autonomous platforms and mission software into the engineering infrastructure used to create them.
