Everything We Know About The U.S. Navy’s Submersible Drone Iran Just Captured
Iran's Revolutionary Guard displayed an Anduril Dive-LD autonomous underwater vehicle that it said it had recovered in regional waters. The Pentagon described the craft as an older US Navy unit that malfunctioned more than a day before recovery and said it carried no classified information. Dive-LD is a roughly 5.8-meter commercial-derived submersible used for long-duration seabed survey, surveillance and mine-related missions at great depth. The episode exposes a fielded platform to Iranian examination, although the circumstances and exploitation remain incompletely verified by either government or an independent authority.
