Bell, M1 Move Onto Final Phase Of Army's Flight School Next Competition, Lockheed Doesn't Advance
Bell Textron and M1 have been selected as finalists for the U.S. Army's Flight School Next competition to provide the next generation of primary training aircraft, while Lockheed Martin has been eliminated from the competition. Flight School Next will replace the current TH-67 Creek training fleet and reshape how the Army trains rotary-wing aviators. Bell and M1 will now compete in a final phase involving more detailed proposals and potentially aircraft demonstrations. The contract represents a long-term training aircraft procurement with significant volume.
