Video: MBDA Pitches Combat-Proven Aster Missiles to Royal Danish Navy
MBDA presented its combat-proven Aster surface-to-air missile family to the Royal Danish Navy during Danish industry engagements. Aster variants provide area air defence against aircraft, cruise missiles, and selected ballistic threats when integrated with suitable ship radars and combat-management systems. The pitch responds to Denmark's need to strengthen naval air and missile defence as it plans future surface combatants. No selection or procurement contract was announced, and any decision would require evaluation of launcher fit, sensor integration, missile availability, cost, industrial participation, and interoperability with allied fleets.
