Belgium to deliver first F-16 fighter jets to Ukraine by end of 2026 as Russian air attacks intensify
Belgium plans to accelerate delivery of three operational F-16 fighters to Ukraine by the end of 2026. They are part of seven Belgian F-16 airframes allocated for transfer during 2026, with four additional aircraft intended for spare parts and technician training rather than combat operations. The deliveries form part of Belgium's broader commitment to provide 30 F-16s by 2028 alongside ammunition, training, maintenance and sustainment support.
