Advanced Navigation secures $18.5 million Kongsberg order for Boreas systems on Polish Protector counter drone platforms
Advanced Navigation secured an $18.5 million supply agreement with Kongsberg for several hundred Boreas fiber-optic-gyroscope inertial navigation systems to support counter-drone platforms for Poland. The units will be integrated into PROTECTOR-family remote weapon and medium-caliber turret configurations within Poland's SAN counter-UAS program, which is planned around 18 batteries. Boreas provides precise attitude and position data when satellite navigation is jammed or unavailable, allowing onboard sensors and effectors to retain stable pointing and targeting information in the contested electromagnetic conditions expected during drone attacks and engagements.
