Britain flies new turbojet drone engine in seven months
Britain's Ministry of Defence and Alloyed developed a family of domestically produced turbojet engines spanning 30 to 2,000 newtons of thrust for uncrewed aircraft and other systems. A 1,100-newton design moved from concept to flight-ready status in under seven months, while a 300-newton engine has completed flight testing and entered serial production. The digitally led, modular programme has created more than 60 jobs and involves over 40 UK suppliers, with 45 further positions expected. No specific weapon integration or export customer has yet been announced.
