US tests 21 defense companies in Falcon Peak 26.2 to counter hostile drones on Southern Border
U.S. Northern Command and the Joint Interagency Task Force 401 evaluated counter-uncrewed-aircraft systems from 21 companies during Falcon Peak 26.2 at Yuma Proving Ground. The event tested detection, tracking, identification and defeat options against representative drone threats relevant to protection of the southern border and other domestic missions. Falcon Peak was a comparative operational experiment, not a contract award, and participation does not indicate that any system has been selected. Results are intended to inform future procurement and deployment decisions for layered counter-UAS capabilities across U.S. government agencies.
