Dutch Drone-Maker DeltaQuad Unveils VTOL Concept
Dutch manufacturer DeltaQuad introduced the Evo-LE, a fixed-wing vertical-takeoff-and-landing unmanned aircraft designed for long-endurance surveillance, border monitoring and communications-relay missions without a runway. Depending on payload and operating conditions, the aircraft is advertised with endurance up to eight hours, range up to 480 kilometers, a 13-kilogram maximum takeoff weight and 1.5-kilogram payload capacity. A dual-battery architecture and revised electrical and VTOL propulsion systems are intended to improve reliability, while a stated radio range of 120 kilometers limits direct-control operations unless other links or relays are used.
