McAlester Army Ammunition Plant to Arm Perennial Autonomy Drones
McAlester Army Ammunition Plant in Oklahoma will manufacture, load and deliver explosive payloads for Perennial Autonomy drones under a new production partnership announced by the Army on October 2. Perennial supplies the airframes and guidance equipment, while the government-owned installation contributes its ordnance production capabilities. The work draws on civilian chemists, load-assemble-pack specialists and quality inspectors to prepare combat-ready drone munitions within the Army's Organic Industrial Base. The agreement's value, production volumes, first delivery dates and specific warhead designs have not been disclosed, and neither party identified which Perennial aircraft will receive the payloads.
