EDGE subsidiary POWERTECH is targeting the international drone and missile propulsion market with proprietary engine designs and a European-centered supply chain. The strategy seeks to reduce dependence on constrained foreign sources as demand rises for small turbines and other powerplants used in cruise missiles, loitering munitions and uncrewed aircraft. Building control over design, components and production could improve availability and export flexibility for EDGE platforms, although market success will depend on proving reliability, scaling output and meeting the varied cost and performance needs of customers.
