The RAF completed Exercise Cobra Warrior 26-2 from September 14 to October 2, coordinating 14 large-force missions from RAF Waddington to rehearse UK homeland defense. Approximately 1,800 personnel from Britain, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands and the United States supported 942 sorties totaling more than 2,500 flying hours. Participating platforms included Typhoon FGR4 fighters, F-35Bs, P-8A Poseidon patrol aircraft, Voyager tankers and E-3A airborne warning aircraft, while Germany contributed 11 Typhoons and 200 personnel. The multinational exercise also served as the final phase of the RAF's Typhoon weapons instructor course.
