U.S. F-35As and E-3 Sentry Airborne Warning Aircraft Demonstrate Networked Airpower Over Strategic Bering Sea
U.S. Air Force F-35A fighters and an E-3 Sentry operated with Canadian forces in a binational maritime-strike scenario over the Bering Sea from September 18 to 22. The activity linked fifth-generation fighter sensors and targeting data with airborne command-and-control, demonstrating how a mixed force can build a shared picture across the remote Arctic approaches. Conducted in a strategically important homeland-defense area, the mission also tested cross-border coordination and the ability to direct fighters against maritime threats over long distances with limited regional support infrastructure and basing.
