USS Abraham Lincoln Keeps F-35Cs Flying After Record 264 Days at Sea
USS Abraham Lincoln continued F-35C and E-2D flight operations on October 7 while returning to San Diego after an extended deployment. The carrier was scheduled to arrive October 8 following a 321-day deployment that included a record 264 consecutive days at sea without a port call. Carrier Air Wing Nine, including Marine Fighter Attack Squadron 314's F-35Cs, operated more than 70 aircraft across nine squadrons and recorded over 13,000 flights and 28,500 flight hours. The deployment also involved 72 replenishments at sea, sustaining the ship and embarked aviation force through the prolonged period away from port.
