Greek F-4 crashes during an air show near Athens, ERT reports
A two-seat Hellenic Air Force F-4 Phantom crashed during Athens Flying Week at Tanagra Air Base north of Athens on September 5, killing both pilots. Video from public broadcaster ERT showed the aircraft making a low right turn seconds before impact about two kilometers outside the airfield, where the crash ignited a forest fire; authorities reported no injuries among spectators or nearby residents.
