Ukraine deploys FP-7 tactical ballistic missile in combat for first time, Zelenskiy says
President Volodymyr Zelenskiy said Ukraine used its domestically developed FP-7 tactical ballistic missile in combat for the first time. He did not identify the target, launch location, damage assessment, or operational circumstances, leaving the strike’s military effect unverified in public reporting. The announcement nevertheless indicates that Ukraine is expanding its indigenous long-range strike portfolio as it seeks weapons less dependent on foreign release conditions and supply constraints. Further launches, production data, and independent evidence will be needed to assess the missile’s reliability, accuracy, and sustainable availability.
