U.S. Army 2d Cavalry Conducts First Live FPV Drone Strike as It Adapts for Modern Warfare
The U.S. Army's 2nd Cavalry Regiment has conducted its first live first-person-view drone strike as part of adaptation efforts to incorporate small UAS offensive tactics drawn from the Ukrainian conflict. The exercise, conducted at a European training location, reflects the Army's accelerating integration of commercial-derived FPV drone technology into combined arms training and operational planning. The milestone indicates that FPV drone employment is transitioning from experimental to doctrinal practice within U.S. Army formations stationed in Europe.
