Two Task Order Awards Notched By Lockheed Martin for GPS Ground Segment
Lockheed Martin received two US Space Force task orders worth approximately $114 million for the GPS ground segment. The larger award, valued at about $96 million, covers a GPS IIIF Contingency Operations System, while a separate $17.5 million order funds Phase 1 of the Architecture Evolution Plan's transition to x86 computing. Together the tasks modernize command-and-control infrastructure and provide backup capability for operating newer GPS spacecraft; they are distinct awards rather than a single undifferentiated support contract.
