STARK moves Gambit loitering munition closer to delivery after TDW warhead proves effective against lightly armoured targets in Germany
German manufacturer STARK has completed a live warhead test for its man-portable Gambit loitering munition at TDW facilities in Germany. The foldable quadcopter used a multi-effect warhead, fuze and safety-and-arming system derived from an already qualified TDW design, and the test demonstrated effectiveness against lightly armoured targets. Gambit is intended to give small units a portable reconnaissance-and-strike option with a rapid launch cycle in dispersed operations. The milestone moves the system closer to delivery, but no customer, order quantity, contract value or fielding date was disclosed.
