The head of the Golden Dome missile-defence initiative said artificial intelligence could accelerate decision support within the system's command-and-control architecture. AI is being considered to help fuse large sensor volumes, prioritize threats and present engagement options quickly enough for attacks involving ballistic, cruise and hypersonic missiles.
