Born to replace the Defender, the Grenadier now eyes military duty
Team Grenadier is offering the Ineos Grenadier four-wheel-drive vehicle for Britain's Light Mobility Vehicle competition. The consortium proposes adapting the rugged commercial platform for military utility, command, liaison and logistics roles through modular bodies, communications and mission equipment. Its established production base could shorten development compared with a wholly new vehicle, while military acceptance would still require testing for payload, durability, safety and supportability. The bid is one contender in an open process and does not represent selection, contract award or a confirmed fleet quantity.
