Ground-launched Blackbeard missile test

Castelion tests ground-launched Blackbeard as potential rival to Lockheed Martin systems

Castelion is testing a ground-launched version of its Blackbeard hypersonic missile, with a company photograph showing a four-canister launcher mounted on an Oshkosh 10x10 truck. The canisters appear to be a new design, raising questions about compatibility with HIMARS and M270 launchers. Development work is expected to be completed in 2027, while production under the Department of War framework remains conditional on testing and validation. The photograph suggests progress toward a dedicated ground-launch configuration but does not confirm a missile launch, operational deployment or Army procurement.
