Spain plans to buy 15 more Hürjet jets, Turkish Aerospace chief says
Spain intends to acquire 15 additional Hürjet advanced jet trainers beyond the 30 already contracted, according to Turkish Aerospace Industries' chief executive. Speaking on October 13, he said work is underway to begin deliveries of the existing Spanish order in 2028, before any additional aircraft are included. The 30-aircraft agreement, announced in December 2025, is valued at about €2.6 billion and concerns the Turkish-developed supersonic training platform. The additional 15 aircraft remain a manufacturer-reported Spanish purchase plan, with no separately announced follow-on contract, price or delivery schedule confirming that the prospective expansion has become a firm order.
