Hurkus-II Enters Turkish Air Force Fleet
The Turkish Air Force has inducted the Hürkuş-II next-generation advanced trainer aircraft into its fleet, marking the entry into service of Turkey's domestically developed turboprop trainer. The aircraft is produced by TAI and represents a key component of Turkey's strategy to replace aging trainer platforms with indigenously designed systems. Aviation Week reporting confirms the formal induction of the first aircraft, with the Hürkuş-II intended to cover both basic and advanced training phases and to reduce Turkish dependence on foreign-sourced training aircraft.
