Hanwha broadens Poland defence push beyond artillery with L-SAM, H-SHORAD, counter-drone and laser systems at MSPO 2026
Hanwha Aerospace used MSPO 2026 to present Poland with a layered air-defense portfolio extending beyond the company’s established artillery business. The display included L-SAM for long-range defense, H-SHORAD, the H-Shield counter-drone concept, a wheeled 40 mm gun system, interceptor drones and the Cheongwang laser. Hanwha emphasized linking these effectors through a common command network against threats ranging from small drones to missiles. The appearance signals an industrial and marketing push, not a confirmed Polish order, and any procurement would require separate evaluation, contracting and confirmation of allied interoperability.
