Ukraine's SBU deploys delta-wing interceptor UAV against Russia's Geran-5
Ukraine’s Security Service deployed an unnamed delta-wing interceptor UAV against a Russian Geran-5 jet-powered one-way attack drone, President Volodymyr Zelensky said on 19 September 2026. Video released by the SBU showed the turbojet-powered interceptor launching from a rail catapult and thermal imagery of a target resembling a Geran-5. Zelensky described the engagement as the second successful use of the new interceptor that day. No detailed performance, cost or production information was disclosed.
